Adecco is assisting a local Non-Profit client in recruiting for a Disbursement Accountant position Redding, CA. This is a Full-Time opportunity! The Disbursement Accountant is responsible for all cash disbursements such as managing the Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets and Credit Cards. Responsibilities for the Disbursement Accountant include:

- Receive and review purchase requisitions and check requests for correct account coding and maintain appropriate tracking system.

- Verifies departmental account budgets to assure funds are available for purchases.

- Assign PO numbers to purchase requisitions and match purchase requisitions with check requests.

- Enter and post invoices into Financial Edge database, create worksheets.

- Monthly Accounts Payable G/L to Accounts Payable Subsidiary Ledger Reconciliation.

- Maintain 1099 vendor information and prepare annual 1099 reports.

- Track and maintain Fixed Asset.

- Verify inventory (retail & consignment) received in Counterpoint database and create journal entry to be recorded in Financial Edge database.

- Maintain strict confidentiality requirements for organization and staff information.

- Participate in Finance department cross-training. Assist in covering the reception area, including greeting visitors and accepting deliveries.

- Other duties as assigned.

Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:

- Knowledge of accounting and spread sheet software is required. Financial Edge and MS Office preferred.

- Good interpersonal, organizational, planning, written, verbal, and communication skills.

- Ability to work with direct supervision or independently in a fast-paced environment. Must be detail oriented, well organized, and able to set priorities and execute multiple tasks within deadlines.

- Ability to work with or interact with staff, board members, volunteers, guests, and vendors.

- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Pay for this position is $19-$20.00/hour DOE. This is a Full Time Opportunity.
