Seeking a barista/cashier
Start up food vendor specializing in community events, and catering (and eventually to be a dine in and takeout restaurant)
6 hour shift each Saturday morning, and one three day event (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) in October, November, and December. (8 hour shifts). Additional shifts may become available as we book more events and catering orders.
Must have food handlers and be friendly and outgoing. Positive and professional attitude
Duties include: greeting customers and bringing customers in to our food vendor booth
taking orders via tablet
processing cash and card payments
giving change
calling out names
handing out orders
making and serving drinks
coffee
(eventually) operating an espresso machine for lattes etc
maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
Some experience would be great, training provided.
$16/hour. Split tips. And a meal and drinks provided each shift.
Additional hours available for those who would like to help set up and breakdown vendor booth or prep food in the kitchen the day before each event.
