We are looking for an Assistant Manager
Our Purpose: Our dedicated Hula’s family provides this community a clean, casual, friendly place to enjoy great quality food prepared in a unique style. We are in the people business – serving good, real food.
Our Unique Style: Hula’s Chinese Bar-B-Q is a Mongolian BBQ style restaurant where our customers put together his or her own stir-fry using our large selection of meats, vegetables, noodles and sauces. This creation is then handed to our cooks who stir-fry it on top of a large, round Mongolian grill, in full view of our customers. Our cooks make all of our soups and sauces with our own proprietary recipes. They prepare all of our meats and vegetables in house. Hula’s has become a Chico icon in the local restaurant industry.

Requirements: You have at least 2 years of leadership experience in the restaurant, hospitality or retail industry. You’re at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation (not public transportation – Sometimes you may need to drive to make deposits for the restaurant) and a true desire to learn and grow. You are a natural leader and you love creating and training a winning team.
Customer Service: A friendly, courteous, honest, energetic, motivational and fun demeanor. You must set high standards for yourself and for your people to ensure a great experience for our customers so they enjoy themselves and will want to come back.
Stamina: Expect training, growth, plenty of excitement and unique challenges. Long, busy days on your feet are the trademark of this job.
Teamwork: Restaurant assistant managers are part of a team so being a team player is essential.
For your customers, you will be working with your team to make a great dining experience.
For your team, you will be setting the tone of each shift so Hula’s is a great place to work. You will have to keep employees motivated, respectfully resolve conflicts and make hard decisions. You will be teaching new things and motivating the team to work together. You share our vision for the restaurant, and you know how to get your team to bring it to life.
Duties: You will ensure all food safety procedures are strictly adhered to according to Butte County Health’s sanitary regulations.
Train and supervise staff.
Work closely with management to meet the business objectives.
Maintain safe working conditions concerning equipment, floors, bulling or any sexual harassment.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products and equipment.
