Restpadd Psychiatric Health Facility is a 24-hour inpatient 16 bed psychiatric hospital located in Redding, CA. We are currently looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician to work our PM shift, from 3:30 pm to 12:30 am, Monday through Friday. This person will be responsible for admissions and discharges as well as processing county referrals. Record keeping and documentation are an important part of this job so an attention to detail is paramount. Previous experience in healthcare and mental health is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current license as an LVN or LPT in the state of California.
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Minimum of 1 year recent nursing experience. Psychiatric experience preferred.
Skills Required:
A strong understanding of mental health concepts, psychopharmacology, and therapeutic intervention.
Empathy toward patients with mental illness.
Effective communication skills.
Effective time management.
The ability to work independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Competency using computers, EHRs, and office equipment.
