Crane Mills is a family owned and operated business that has been in Tehama County since 1946. We currently have an open position for a full-time equipment operator.
The successful candidate will be operating a cat, skidder, loader, processor, excavator or grader. Work will include harvesting various conifer species according to THP specifications and all sundry logging activates including, but not limited to, skidding, processing, loading trucks, road maintenance, installing culverts, and ROW.
Verifiable past experience operating forest equipment is required.
Our fleet is maintained by Company mechanics and includes all oil/filer changes; your responsibility will be minor daily maintenance and machine inspections. The typical work schedule is five days per week with 8-10 hour shifts, but in some circumstances it may be necessary to work longer shifts or weekends.
You must be willing to work as part of a team and maintain a focus on safe operations to be successful in this position. A valid CA drivers license is a condition of initial and continued employment in this position.
