PROGRAM OVERVIEW:ÂThisÂLSS program provides up to two years of transitional housing and case management for homeless youth for the ages of 18 and 24. Many are in recovery from drug and/or alcohol addictions, have mental health diagnoses, or are dually diagnosed. Many have experienced domestic violence, abandonment, or abuse. Case management services assist in achieving and maintaining stability as well as self-improvement and self-sufficient. The goal of ACTS is to provide the support necessary for our clients to move to independent living, capable of supporting themselves, and with the skills developed to maintain healthy relationships, emotional and mental health, and a plan for the future. This program is operated in collaboration with CHYBA, Shasta College Department of Student Services, the North Valley Property Owners Association and NAMI.

Bachelors Degree in social work or a related field and five years experience in working with people who have been homeless, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's Degree preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work empathetically with people who are homeless or have a history of homelessness.
Demonstrated experience in the areas of mental health, substance abuse, and domestic violence.
Experience in accessingÂcommunity basedÂservices.
Knowledge and experience in working with diverse cultural populations.
Excellent written and analytic skills.
Excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills.
Ability to effectively represent LSS to the community.
Ability to work independently, make good decisions and utilize supervision as needed.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Ability to work on multiple tasks and set priorities.
Clean driving record, registeredÂcarÂand required insurance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Skills
Completion of the program intake
Provide assessments of needs (mental health, AOD, life skills) and goals in the development of the Individual Case Plan
Completion of a Life Plan for each youth.
Coordination and facilitation of client Multi-disciplinary Team Meetings
Crisis/behavior intervention
Client Consultation/direction
Case management
Facilitate/participate in client advocacy
Completion, reviewÂandÂsubmission of Incident Reports
Administrative Skills
Understanding of OES and budget rules and regulations
Assistance in budget development
Budget line item oversight
Assistance in development and implementation of spending plans
Computer knowledgeÂincluding:ÂWindows Office Suite, Excel,ÂPower Point
Basic equipment troubleshooting
Supervision
Assist with individual program supervisionÂincluding:Âdaily staff or volunteer direction, best practice implementation, and client oversight.
Provide leadership to staff, volunteers and participants throughÂproblem solving, role modeling, and open communication.
Assistance with development and implementation of staff training
Provide new staff and volunteer orientation and training
