This is a hybrid work schedule: 3 days to work onsite at corporate HQ in Redwood City, CA and 2 days to work from home


Summary:
The Assistant Vice President of Information Technology Operations and Development is responsible for the integrity of all data residing on the Host, flawless execution of routine processes including maintaining timely quality assurance testing and loading of version upgrades, month-end processing, and year-end releases. Responsible for managing, supporting and ensuring integrity of Host system operations, custom code development, and all Host system support services. Responsible for custom code developed, maintained and deployed for online channels. Responsible for all performance, development, and growth of all personnel assigned to the IT Operations & Development team.

Essential Functions:
  • Implements processes, procedures, and standards that lead to flawless execution of Host system operations. This includes managing the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of daily and monthly jobs resulting in zero un-planned down time. The keen management of IT operations results in full integrity of Host data, product and service management, and the effective deployment and management of all custom code.
  • Develops and implements software deployment techniques and procedures that employs metrics throughout the development life cycle to ensure seamless and functional integration with Host and Host programs.
  • Maintains the quality of solution development by enforcing quality assurance and adhering to corporate testing standards.
  • Responsible for executing IT Operations strategy, that is consistent with, and advances organizational objectives.
  • Develops and maintains project plans for the Development and Operations Team.
  • Directly supervises the Development and Operations Team and third party support vendors associated with Host application systems and operations.
  • Responsible for performance, accountability, and professional development of Development and Operations Team. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and capacity planning. Ensures decisions are in line with the credit union’s priorities and strategy.
  • Collaborates with business units to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on IT processes, systems and integration. Follows initiatives through completion.
  • Manage the systems reliability and daily management through, process automation, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, purge processes, code deployment and support of all Host system functions and interfaces.
  • Manage Host system budget, including build, buy, or partner decisions and capital costs to industry standards. Analyze the costs, value, and risks of technology.
  • Ensures efficient function and constant uptime of systems and applications. Maintains security of all data and information proprietary to the credit union.
  • Ensures Host system is backed up locally and/or replicated to the Disaster Recovery site. Ensures the site and systems are operational and able to function in the event of a disaster.
  • Meets or exceeds published service level agreements (SLA’s).
  • Partners with Digital Experience Team and third party resources to develop, test and deploy custom code and system integrations for home and mobile banking systems.
  • Manages all home and mobile banking system code deployments and upgrades.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing as it relates to Host system applications and processes.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends (both emerging and sun-setting) in information systems hardware, software, applications, and best practices. Knowledge of system functionality, integration with other systems, and End-User requirements and experience are critical.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complete required BSA & OFAC training annually.
  • Understand and adhere to BSA and OFAC policy and procedures.


Education / Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, and/or relevant experience
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in leading and managing IT operations & software development.
  • 5+ years of experience establishing proactive operations, standardization efforts, and appropriate toolsets with automation and orchestration that will transform much of IT operations in all Host areas.
  • Extensive application programming experience.
  • Proven experience with a defined System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with agile principles and practices in Development and Operations.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing change, problem and incident resolution.
