Job Description

In this role, you’ll internally support the Business Development (BD) team to grow Guardant Health’s biopharma business. You’ll play a key role in building, scaling, optimizing our BD processes while supporting the team from lead generation thru contract execution.

Specifically, you’ll support Biopharma BD lead generation/qualification and account initiation activities in the CRM system. You’ll manage the biopharma proposal/contracting processes by standardizing project templates as well as cost & pricing structures and review outbound proposals and contracts for consistency/accuracy. You will work with internal stakeholders to support project resourcing and timeline planning and drive the internal contract review process. You will be the liaison between field-based BD team members and internal stakeholders at the Redwood City headquarters, while also facilitating internal issue resolution during the approval process.

Additionally, you’ll build and/or maintain pipeline dashboards to track account/contract status, support pipeline revenue forecasts, anticipate subsequent resourcing needs and work with internal program management to create visibility into pipeline progress.

You’ll participate in cross functional teams to drive process efficiencies and support quality initiatives.

Qualifications

You have prior business development, operations efficiency improvement or project/program management experience within a biophama, CRO, diagnostics or a related life sciences environment.

You have prior experience with legal contracting terms and processes.

Prior experience with SalesForce is also preferred.

You have really strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

You are a self-starter able to proactively drive initiatives to completion.

You have the ability to communicate clearly and to effectively resolve process challenges and bottlenecks. You are a collaborative problem solver who works with teams to optimize processes and outcomes.

You ideally have a basic understanding of oncology, the diagnostic regulatory environment and genomics.

In addition, you bring:

- BA or BS (Advanced degree, M.B.A. a plus)

- >2 years work experience in a service company

- Proficiency with project management and CRM tools

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies up to 20 lbs and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
