Job Description

Supports regional sales teams in developing and executing local or state-wide marketing plans that drive strategy and quota attainment goals. An integral part of the sales teams that works closely with product marketing, events, funding and government affairs teams to generate new leads and effectively communicate product benefits to schools/school districts and other special markets. Responsible for developing and managing field demand generation programs and campaigns to create new business opportunities, , drive and nurture leads, and accelerate existing opportunities. Detail-oriented and a team player who is excited to be part of a dynamic and ambitious sales & marketing team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Build a regional marketing strategy in alignment with sales goals and plans.
  • Plan and host online and offline events to create net-new sales opportunities, accelerate existing sales opportunities and deepen our existing customer relationships
  • Identify, develop, manage, and support regional initiatives including events, community campaigns, and email/digital programs to engage educators, administrators and parents, while driving regional quota objectives.
  • Interpret state/local market education dynamics and develop plans, content, and tools to address state requirements.
  • Manage a marketing calendar including demand gen campaigns, events/ trade shows, and market trends (state and federal funding grant deadlines, etc.) that can be leveraged by regional sales teams.
  • Engage event team to execute flawlessly on trade shows, roadshows, forums, public seminars, and lunch and learns in the regional marketing strategy agreed to by the sales VP and you. This includes helping the sales team understand the value of setting and delivering on event goals.
  • Regularly communicate state and local marketing programs and results (ROI, KPIs, etc) to sales, sales leadership, and marketing.
  • Partners with sales enablement and participates in sales and product trainings to effectively support sales efforts.
  • Travel with sales teams to attend events and customer meetings is required periodically throughout the year.
  • Conform with all safety rules and use safety equipment as appropriate to the role

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or Master’s degree from four-year college or university
  • Education and/or education technology background preferred
  • Three years related marketing experience and/or training, ideally in field marketing or sales enablement
  • Proven experience carrying out marketing efforts, including planning, prioritizing and implementing strategy

Computer Skills

  • Familiar with MS office applications
  • Virtual meeting software proficiency familiarity
  • Familiar with CRM, marketing automation, content and project management software

Other General Skills

  • Ability to think strategically and independently and execute to a plan.
  • Great communicator, verbal and written, and can be effective in person or on the phone with sales, customers, and corporate marketing.
  • Highly organized and proficient and managing multiple projects at a time and works well in a rapidly evolving sales environment
  • Creative, innovative and thinks outside the box
  • Metric driven and has the ability to draw insight from complex marketing data
  • Ability to travel 50%+ of the time required.
