Come Join Our Team!GDITis a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies (i.e. defense). We are currently looking for a Network System Analyst to join our winning team. The individual hired for this position will provide support for our government customer, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD). This is your opportunity to work in technically advanced, positive, and productive environment. Will serve as an interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues. Will assist the GDIT Program Manager in overseeing contractor execution of the contract requirements and employment of program/project resources at customer site. Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific engineering projects.

NAWCWD primarily operates in two Southern California locations: China Lake and Point Mugu, CA. China Lake Naval Weapons Station experienced earthquakes that caused damage and impacted NAWCWD mission operations. In order to provide improved service capabilities to current and future NAVAIR operations, NAWCWD is modernizing and optimizing the infrastructure that currently supports weapons development and testing activities.

Job skills / activities:

  • Analyze the compute, network, storage and system performance of the NAWCWD systems.
  • Develop capacity reports and capacity management plans as well as strategy to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Make capacity change recommendations that will enable optimal system performance with trade off options.
  • Work with the solution architect, system engineer, system administrators and service owners to gather capacity data, identify trends, help to define capacity metrics, identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop improvement plans and approaches that enable IT services and supporting infrastructure to meet targets for capacity.
  • Prepare in-depth flow charts, models, and procedures along with conducting feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
  • Conduct form design and layout activities with moderate guidance from manager.
  • Prepare systems specifications.
  • Under moderate supervision, prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of systems.
  • Apply practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
  • Perform analysis and systems designs.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
