Description: Our client is currently seeking a OE Sr Black Belt in Rosemead, CA!

This job will have the following responsibilities:

  • -Lead the identification and improvement of high-priority business processes associated with assigned Operational Excellence Initiatives while also building the capabilities needed to drive efficiencies long term.
  • -Develop and manage a portfolio of improvement opportunities for assigned Operational Excellence Initiative, which includes standard portfolio management activities (development and management of execution plans, communications plans, savings/benefit calculation, change impact assessments, initiative risk assessments, status reporting, etc.).
  • -Lead large, complex, cross-functional projects and activities within the portfolio that will be transformational in nature, require a higher Lean Six-Sigma skillset, and directly linked to the goals of the Operational Excellence Initiative assigned.
  • -Closely coordinate and integrate with high priority project efforts companywide, and other Continuous Improvement teams' (Corporate and OUs) activities to facilitate development of new CI practitioners and sustainable CI processes.
  • -As needed, train others on Continuous Improvement framework and tools, project management, and change management methodologies. Cultivate talent across the organization.
  • -Act on behalf of the CI central team to actively promote CI vision with the different OU's across the organization: conduct assessments of organizational maturity, share and promote implementation of best practices, facilitate sessions to select CI projects & activities.
  • -As a part of the corporate CI team support the development, maintenance, and continuously improvement of SCE standard processes, tools, and approaches to continuous improvement based on Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies.
  • -Act as a liaison to CI Central and other OU CI experts across the organization, providing updates on CI progress and sharing best practices in a regular basis.
  • -Actively lead, promote, and manage change. This position is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
  • -Utilizes computer applications such as Excel (including QI Macros), Word, PowerPoint, and Visio to analyze, document, and present information.
  • -Maintains a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
  • -Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • -Bachelor's Degree
  • -5 or more years implementing CI practices through applying Lean and Six Sigma methods within the service industry (utilities, financial, others).
  • -Must have experience implementing sustained improvements in operations, support departments and with suppliers using Lean and similar continuous improvement programs on a large scale.
  • -Must have formal Project management training (PMBOK or similar).
  • -Possess understanding of both theory and practical application of continuous improvement principles and tools.
  • -Strong interpersonal, change management and conflict resolution skills.
  • -Demonstrated project management skills including on time-within budget-with no surprises project execution.
  • -Ability to work across departmental boundaries, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • -Experience building presentations, facilitating meetings, and presenting to a variety of audiences and levels across the organization.
  • -Demonstrate use of complex data to identify opportunities and offer solutions; exposure to advanced data analytics.
  • -Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate data, context, and implications to business stakeholders.
  • -Advanced proficiency using software tools such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. Certificate and/or Licenses: -Must have a Lean Six Sigma (or similar) certification at a Black Belt or Lean Sensei level from a recognized company or institution.
