ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
Zanker Recyclings Sacramento location is seeking an entry level Assistant Accountant / Accounts Receivable Manager to assist with our three operations: Greenwaste of Sacramento, Florin Perkins Disposal Site, and Florin Perkins Landscape Materials. This is a great entry level position for someone seeking to join a fast-growing waste management company. The job requires you to assist with all aspects of A/R, A/P and payroll, review/prepare quarterly reports for tax filings. To be successful in this role, you should thorough knowledge of accounting principles & procedures.
You will be tasked with ensuring company complies with accounting regulations, maximizes profits and minimize risks.
What youll do:
Recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions and posting payments
Daily A/R & A/P updates
Soft collections via calls and email
Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
Assist with monthly financial close process and internal financial statements
Review and process invoices
Ensure accuracy of the accounting and financial information
Qualifications:
Strong work ethic; self-starter; exceptionally detail oriented
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and commercial skills
Uncompromising integrity, exceptional judgement, positive attitude and interest in being challenged
Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience in waste management/recycling a plus
