Our First Responder Solutions program is seeking two candidates to enlarge our team responsible for our distributed CAD to CAD solution. The dedicated product team is responsible for all aspects of the product: design, development, documentation, testing, training, installation, and release. The team is in the early stages of lean agile adoption. The hired individual will work with the product owner to develop a multi-threaded server-based distributed solution. The individual should have the ability to provide in-solution unit testing, load and fault testing, and automated functional testing, and assist with training plans and strategies, client coalition management, and customer proposals, demonstrations, and acceptance. We are looking for someone with the desire to settle into a long term commitment, who will become an expert in all aspects of the product.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions;
  • Ensures software standards are met.
  • Willing and able to communicate with the client is a must! Document writing and proposal answering is also a vital part of the job.


Basic Qualifications:

Level 3:
  • 5 Years with Bachelors in Science, additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree
  • Expert knowledge of multi-threaded server based distributed solutions
  • Expert knowledge of web services communications
  • At least 5 years of experience with XML development and C#.net on Window systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server Databases, JSON, and vendor proprietary data formatting Experience with style sheet transformations
  • Experience with: in-solution unit testing, load and fault testing, and automated functional testing
  • Proficient with product installation and upgrades involving minimal to zero system down time
  • Proficient with health monitoring tools, and performance metrics, sizing models, and scaling strategies
  • Experience with data warehousing
  • Must be willing and able to pass a Public Safety background check when required by client
  • Occasional travel to work onsite with clients is required
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Public Safety domain and/or 911 Dispatch Operations knowledge
  • Experience with Lean Agile software development
  • Experience with socket programming
  • Expert understanding of NIEM standard compliance
  • Experience with developing a REACT based administrative user interface
  • Proficient with Tableau reporting
