Data Governance Supervisor
The UC Davis Health Data Provisioning Core DPC exists to support the majority of health data analysis needs at UCDH though the provisioning of well-characterized health-related data and derived information to data requestors. The mission of the DPC is

To develop best practices in clinical informatics to guide the acquisition, transmission, aggregation, sematic curation, characterization, protection, and delivery of health data, and

To enable the learning healthcare system through generation of reusable enterprise data assets and collaborative partnerships between users of data and UCDH Information Technology.

This position reports to the Data Curation Manager and provides direct supervision to Collibra administrators and stewards responsible for the documentation and management of UCDH clinical and non-clinical assets.

• Develops solutions for the management, organization, and adoption of the Collibra Data Governance Platform among various analytic and reporting departments across the enterprise.
• Responsible for developing a data governance strategy and road maps to improve the quality and management of healthcare data and information assets.
• Will work with direct reports to create standards, policies, and practices for business and technical documentation and metadata management; education and training; and communication and support for data governance and software adoption.
• The Data Governance Supervisor creates a collaborative environment and supports direct reports with appropriate mentoring, performance feedback, and training opportunities.
• Maintains and improves customer relations with UC Davis Health clinicians, faculty, and staff.
• Must be able to present and communicate with executive leaders and promote the use of a data governance framework.
• Must have a high degree of knowledge of data governance methods and recognized expertise in initiating and maintaining data governance processes, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with metadata management tools preferably Collibra is required.
