Environmental Engineer - Entry LevelDescriptionOur environmental engineer jobs are your opportunity to help our clients with complex issues and protect human health and the environment. Each day, you will participate in a variety of field and office tasks related to planning, evaluating, and implementing environmental investigations and remediation projects. You should be a self-motivated, team-focused individual, with 0 to 2 years of experience in the environmental engineering industry along with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project.Our professionals:
Lead and support safety on our projects, including contribution to “incident free” operations in the office and in the field.Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety on all work tasks.
Share experiences in a positive work environment where talents are recognized
Work in an effective team environment, learning and taking instruction from senior staff
Distill “big-picture” assignments into specific tasks and prioritize effectively
Concisely communicate status of tasks to the project manager
Use strong writing and technical skills to prepare and/or perform peer review of reports and other technical work products
Act as the project scientist/task manager for individual data collection activities or evaluations
Contribute to the development of sustainable work practices for all project tasks
Exhibit integrity and the highest quality in all activities
Qualifications
BS Degree in Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Geology, Engineering, Environmental Scientist, or other related field
Knowledge and experience with various media (e.g., soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water and sediment) investigations, data assessments and evaluations, and remediation technologies
Experience with Microsoft Office software
Must be knowledgeable in field work methodology and procedures typical used in the environmental industry
40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification
Additional information:
Estimated field to office time split: 50% field/50% office
Estimated travel requirement is approximately 10-25%.
