Position Overview:POSITION SUMMARY:The Environmental Service Technician maintains a clean, attractive and safe environment in assigned areas by performing a variety of appropriate cleaning, transport, equipment handling, room set-up, trash removal, and linen handling duties.Qualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Education, Licensure, and Certifications Qualifications:High School Graduate or equivalent
Experience Qualifications:Experience as an Environmental Services Technician in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge Qualifications:Knowledge of healthcare equipment and cleaning chemicals is preferred.
Able to prioritize and complete assigned tasks; Able to follow written and spoken instructions.
Use of related housekeeping equipment.
Knowledge of proper infection control and blood borne pathogens precautions procedures.
Knowledge of proper usage of body mechanics related to lifting/moving heavy items.
Demonstrate knowledge of special procedural precautions necessary for isolation room cleaning (i.e. MRSA, TB, etc.)
Knowledge of proper EVS Safety & Disaster and/or Emergency response procedures.
Knowledge of Sutter Health's Standards of Business Conduct.
Knowledge of proper customer service and guest relations skills.
