Mainframe / Assembler Programmer

Mandatory

• Bachelors’ degree in IT related or minimum 7 years’ experience in IT field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Assembly programming.
• Experience with COBOL programming
• Experience analyzing and documenting code
• Experience creating conversion strategies

Desirable

• DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) Experience preferable.
• Ability to lead medium sized development teams
• Demonstrate good communication skills
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience with IBM Metal C
• Designing and coding complex programs in IBM z/OS Assembler.
• Various programming languages including:

Blaze,

EDL/EDX,

Cobol,

Visual Basic,

Natural,

Java,

Java Script,

HP Exstream,

ADABAS,

Crystal

• Configuring, developing, and supporting Java application in Windows, such as AIX, Z-Linux, IBM Tame and DB2 on a z/OS environment
• Code branching, system integration, and working on multiple projects concurrently
• Supporting, troubleshooting, and resolving application and infrastructure production/post-production issues
• Creating test scripts/automated tests to validate code functionality and code coverage
• Working in an Agile environment
• Leading development teams
• Programming language conversion projects
• Analyzing and assisting with business requirements and developing IT system requirements
• Creating systems models, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and engineers
• Testing IT systems/development changes
