Minimum 5 years of experience in the analysis, retrieval, and management of clinical data from healthcare software systems.
Excellent analytical skills to develop and/or comprehend complex technical, clinical, research, and fiscal information; ability to absorb information to make timely and sound decisions.
Demonstrated experience translating customer requirements into technical specifications and documentation.
Highly proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL); experience with query tuning and optimization. 10
Working knowledge of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) applications.
Clarity Data Model certification or ability to obtain certification/proficiency within three months of start. - Demonstrated knowledge of data modeling/architecture principles.
Advanced interpersonal communication skills to convey technical information to all levels of clinical users in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to use logic and flow diagrams to describe the functional processes of a system that both end-users and programmers can understand.
Excellent organizational skills to determine and prioritize workload to enable timely completion of tasks.
Ability to deal with highly confidential, secured, and financial matters; practical application of HIPAA and privacy rules a plus.
Familiarity with data governance and data stewardship principles and practices.
DESIRED:
Master's degree or equivalent in Health Informatics, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration. - Clarity Data Model Ambulatory certification.
Previous involvement in quality improvement or research projects related to hospital operations, primary care, telehealth, ambulatory care and operations, etc.
Familiarity with visualization/analytics tools (Business Objects, Tableau); ability to translate data into actionable information via graphical representations.
