RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Desktop Support in San Francisco, CA. This is a 100% driving position; depending on location will require personal vehicle with mileage/tollway reimbursement


Responsibilities of the Senior Desktop Support:
Senior Desktop Support will interact with various departments across organization and communicate w/various management levels
Supporting upgrades of Desktops and Laptops from Windows 7 to either a new system on Windows 10, or an in-place upgrade to Windows 10 or an upgrade
Provide end users support post upgrade
Senior Desktop Support will be responsible for mutually scheduling the end user upgrade including proper communication with end users on timeline and ETA of migration completion
Physically remove old hardware and install new hardware at a given site for a user
May assist in troubleshooting of hardware and software problems for desktop and laptop computers; Install hardware and software on workstations
Senior Desktop Support will utilize ticketing system, when necessary
Re-image computers perform data migrations and restorations, and conduct remote problem solving when required
The project entails upgrading users from Windows 7/Office2010 to Windows 10/Office365; either an in-place/existing machine upgrade or to a new machine upgrade
Senior Desktop Support will be upgrading PCs at the Patient Service Centers and Client Offices in their region, which will require minimum 1 hour and for some locations 2+ hour drive between sites; Mileage Reimbursements will be provided
Will support Onsite, Remote and VPN users/sites
Provide timely updates on progress and update metric spreadsheet daily

REQUIREMENTS:
6+ years of prior experience in an onsite desktop support role is required
Excellent software and hardware troubleshooting skills
Must have working knowledge of hardware components, hardware configurations, and have strong software experience
Must be physically onsite for each workday

Technical Skillset Required:
Windows 7 Proficiency
Windows 10 Proficiency
Office/Outlook 2010 Proficiency
Office/Outlook 365 Proficiency
User Data/Email migration (OneDrive & conventional data transfer)
Understanding of Laptop/Desktop Encryption (Bitlocker and Credent)
Microsoft SCCM Application Deployment
IT Asset Management tasks
Citrix Workspace familiarity
