  • RESPONSIBILITIES
    • The consultant will work under the direction of the Information Technology Division (ITD) Contract Manager. The Contract Manager and the Consultant will agree upon the specific days and hours to be worked. The Contractor is expected to provide a single individual for the entire engagement and will not substitute without the prior written approval of the Contract Manager.
    This Statement of Work identifies general activities as defined below:
  • Maintain and support the application environment at the client.
  • Define and document business requirements for existing applications as assigned.
  • Develop and test new modules for existing applications as assigned.
  • Participate in code walkthroughs to ensure the program meets the business requirements and follows the coding standards.
  • Provide documentation to support the applications.
  • Participation in team meetings led by customer Contract Manager.
  • Maintain change control.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
  • Perform complete regression testing.
    • 10.Analyze and resolve functional and operational problems identified by the end users
    QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Mandatory Skills and Experience:
    • The successful candidate for this position must have the following specific skills and experiences to assure project success:
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience developing Windows-based applications using Power Builder 12.5 and Appeon PowerBuilder
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience working with relational databases Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle 11
  • Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge and experience in migrating Oracle databases to SQL Server to be used as the data store for the PowerBuilder application
  • Familiarity with the business processes of the Notary Public commission, Domestic Partner registry, and Campaign and Lobbying registration and disclosure for the Secretary of State's office
  • Ability to work independently with general direction
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Superior troubleshooting skills on server and application layers.
