The Candidate will be responsible for performing the following job duties:
Create and design telecommunication systems such as, but not limited to the following:
Structured cabling
Data and voice systems
CCTV systems
Data centers (co-location facilities)
Telecommunication pathway(s)
Intrusion systems
Fiber/copper backbone inside/outside plant infrastructure
Audio/Visual systems
Existing system evaluation and modernization
Peer reviews
TIA-code compliance
Coordinate with other disciplines such as, Architectural, Interior’s, Electrical, and Mechanical design engineers.
Coordinate system scope, design layout and drawings with Project Manager and Senior Engineers
Prepare and coordinate technical documentations
QA/QC internal drawings and construction documentation.
Provide design and production support for other project related tasks such as lighting and power design.
Qualifications
5 years of Telecommunication design experience
Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit skills required
RCDD, OSP, DCDC, CTS and NTS a plus, but not required
Effective communication skills with a team-oriented attitude
Proven ability to resolve complex design problems
Solid working knowledge of structured cabling systems and data center application from an installation and basic design perspective
Ability to manage projects simultaneously
Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Member desired and active participant
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Knowledge of BISCI and TIA industry standards and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of IT, low voltage and telecommunications systems.
