The Inn and Spa at Parkside, located in the heart of Sacramento, is looking to hire a part-time housekeeper.
This position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms and all other areas in a timely and thorough manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
We are seeking someone with hotel/institutional housekeeping experience or experience in a related capacity.
Work will be up to 3-6 days per week (depending on occupancy), shifts typically begin at 10am and end by 3pm on weekdays and begin at 10:30 am and end by 3:30 pm on weekends. This position requires that you be available to work weekends and some holidays. These daily and weekly hours are based on occupancy.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Washing/drying/folding linens, dusting, vacuuming, ironing, making beds, cleaning tubs/toilets, sweeping and mopping. Must be able to climb stairs carrying laundry and linen supplies, vacuum, etc. Some outdoor work. You will also help set up and break down breakfast service at times.
- Notifying supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied.
- Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
- Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
- Other duties as instructed by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must be flexible in hours.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to meet physical demands involving extended periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and reaching.
- Previous cleaning experience required.
- Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and customer service skills.
- Must be a self starter and be able to work quickly and efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a background and drug test.
