Job description

We are seeking fun, outgoing, and high-energy individuals to join our team as part-time and/or full-time Line Cooks and Prep Cooks.

About the Job:

Line Cook and Prep Cooks should embody the Device Brewing culture and vision. These positions work hand in hand with the head chef in all aspects of food preparation. Line Cook and Prep Cooks help ensure an efficient and profitable Food Service Operation while maintaining engagement in the preparation of food. Additionally, these positions performs all duties in the area of food preparation, which includes accurately and efficiently cooking hot and cold food products as well as preparing and portioning food products prior to cooking.

About Us:

1. Oversee, monitor, and execute the preparation, production, and inspection of food, with cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in mind.

2. Ensure high standards of quality and appearance of food, throughout shifts.

3. Lead assigned staff, providing clear direction and expectations of duties.

4. Enforce Device Brewing protocols, policies and procedures and assist in performance management of assigned staff.

5. Adhere to and exceed all Health Code guidelines, ensuring consumables are handled safely and properly.

6. Provide general oversight of kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness and organization at all times.

7. Prepare and plate food orders to deliver an attractive and appealing presentation.

8. Read and follow recipes for preparing and cooking all hot and cold food items.

9. Issue and delegate various assignments to staff and review special requests and areas of concentrations, ensuring the operations of the kitchen are running smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.

10. Coordinate activities within the department to ensure services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.

11. Assume responsibility in accomplishing new and varying tasks to effectively enhance organization.

12. Explore and seek out opportunities to add value and augment the overall Food Service Operation.

13. Maintain effective communication with customers, co-workers, vendors, and management.

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED required

Minimum of 2 years in a fast-paced kitchen within a high-volume restaurant required

ServSafe Certification required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Must be outgoing, energetic, courteous, and service-oriented

Possess leadership qualities and ability to work harmoniously with all personality types

Ability and desire to multitask and prioritize multiple duties and deadlines

Work independently and take initiative

Possess reasoning and problem-solving skills

Be honest, hard working, and reliable

Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented

Ability to effectively handle stress and pressure consistent with the job duties and industry

These positions will work the hours necessary to meet the needs of the business and to complete necessary job duties. Normal working hours will fall 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. Employee is authorized and permitted to take all meal and rest breaks in accordance with company policy.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour PLUS TIPS!
