The Cashier/Customer Service Rep. is responsible for cash register operations and for safeguarding company assets. In addition to the primary duty of handling cash, the Cashier maintains a polite, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times. This very important customer-facing role requires the Cashier to be a problem-solver, knowledgeable of overall business operations. He/She is responsible to provide prompt and courteous service regardless of the circumstance. In addition to accurate and efficient register operations, the Cashier is responsible to:
⢠Project a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times
⢠Greet all customers in a friendly and attentive manner
⢠Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements
⢠Accurately ring on registers and accurately maintain all cash and media at the registers
⢠Promptly and accurately receive payment and make change
⢠Take action to move customers through check-out in a fast and courteous fashion
⢠Perform other duties as directed
