Job Title: Contract Family Law Paralegal (Hybrid Position)
Location: Folsom, California (Hybrid option available)
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with a focus on Family Law, Civil Litigation, Juvenile Dependency, and Estate Planning to join our team. The position is contract-based with competitive pay, offering $60-$100 per billable hour, depending on experience.
Position Details:
Location: Work from our office in Folsom, CA, or hybrid option for those with an efficient home setup (multiple screens, fast internet).
Contract Position: Flexible hours with competitive compensation per billable hour.
Areas of Focus: Divorce, custody, support, domestic violence, high asset divorces, and other family law matters.
Requirements:
Experience in family law is required.
Ability to manage case files, draft pleadings, and support attorneys in all stages of litigation.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
If opting for hybrid, must have a well-equipped home office with reliable internet and multiple monitors for optimal efficiency.
Preferred Experience:
Drafting Statement of Issues, Contentions, and Proposed Disposition of the case.
Preparing trial briefs, disclosures, and conducting legal research (using LexisNexis).
Utilizing Lawyaw for drafting forms and Clio for practice management.
Performing support calculations with Xspouse or Dissomaster.
Trial preparation, including organizing trial exhibits, preparing subpoenas, and handling other trial-related tasks.
Familiarity with Discovery processes.
