POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing & Development Manager is responsible for developing, producing and disseminating SCH information regarding its mission and programs through public relations, media relations, marketing, promotions, communications, digital fundraising and events. The Marketing & Development Manager establishes and maintains a strategic communications program for the agency; and an annual communications program which includes direct mail, newsletters (internal & external), press releases, public recognition, website, displays, photography and more. This position works closely with the Philanthropy Committee, Director of Philanthropy and the CEO to create and execute the annual SCH marketing and communications plan. The Marketing and Development Manager also develop a suite of materials that convey image and key messages about SCH and its programs to Board members, donors and other SCH supporters. This position is also an integral part of the Philanthropy Department and its fundraising function. This position also supervises the Social Media and Marketing Coordinator and the Volunteer Coordinator. The duties and responsibilities associated with this position may evolve as the needs of the Philanthropy Department and Agency change. The ability to work in a flexible, ever changing environment is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Service, Development, Sales or a related field preferred.

At least 3 years of practical experience working in a similar capacity is required. Experience with marketing, fund development and community relations is required. Must be able to report to work on a regular and reliable basis.

Driving is an essential function of this job, and as such, employees in this position will be required to furnish their own vehicle to be used in the course of employment. A valid driver’s license and minimum insurance coverage is also required. Must be at least 21 years old.
