NorthStar Services supports people with developmental disabilities to live in their own homes and have a regular, full life. We are looking for people who are flexible, creative, responsible, reliable and good listeners.
Direct Support Professionals partner with individuals with developmental disabilities in making informed decisions and everyday choices about their finances, food, well-being, relationships and employment.
We want people who have abilities in and hopefully enjoy cooking, going on walks, laughing, mentoring and maybe even singing and dancing. If getting paid to facilitate these activities sounds interesting, we would like to talk to you! Experience is not necessary (though a plus) but great ethics are!
Several shifts available including days, nights and weekends. Benefits for full time employees and great training available. We also have annual events such as Holiday party, summer camping trip, staff appreciation event, open house/office, and focus gatherings in addition to thoughtful and inspiring trainings. Excellent references, drivers’ license, safe vehicle with insurance, and criminal background check required.
