ROLE: Mainframe Consultant / Mainframe Tester / COBOL Tester / Programmer LOCATION: Sacramento, CA DURATION: 3 Years + JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a COBOL Tester / Mainframes Tester with JCL, TSO, CICS Programming Required Skills:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in each of the following:
developing and maintaining applications using Common Business Oriented Language (COBOL).
developing and maintaining applications using DB2 for OS/390.
developing and maintaining applications using Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) files.
developing and testing in the IBM Mainframe z/OS environment.
developing technical solutions including privacy and security, standards development, and statewide stakeholder s collaboration.
utilizing a System Development Lifecycle methodology.
utilizing and/or developing Customer Information Control System (CICS) applications.
utilizing Job Control Language (JCL).
utilizing Microsoft Office (Visio, Word, Excel, Project).
utilizing Time Sharing Option (TSO).
working with multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience with large-scale integration of a centralized state system with numerous geographically diverse local systems and organizations.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in each of the following:
utilizing Agile/SCRUM system development methodologies.
working with Medicare and/or Medi-Cal.
Experience and/or familiarity with Enterprise Architecture (EA), Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), application development, middleware, servers and storage, database management and operations.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience and/or familiarity with one or more of the following systems, i.e., Medi-Cal Eligibility Data System (MEDS), Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) Program Gateway, Maximus, California Medicaid Management Information System (CA-MMIS).
Experience working with Health and Human Services (HHS) and/or California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) programs and projects, e.g., Statewide Automated Welfare System (SAWS), MEDS, etc.
Experience with specialized software used for analyzing, developing and/or testing Web Services interfaces, i.e., TechWriter for Web Services, oXygen XML Developer, and/or SOAP UI Pro.
Experience working on multi-year projects.
Experience applying industry standards and best practices when designing technical solutions.
Experience and knowledge of Medi-Cal business rules.
