Shift Details:
Weekly 1 hour CrossFit group classes
Consistency is key: your assigned session(s) will remain the same week to week
Flexibility to cover additional sessions when needed
Job Summary: CrossFit Natomas is looking for a passionate and energetic CrossFit Coach to inspire our community during weekly classes. We value strong foundational knowledge in CrossFit and functional fitness and a genuine commitment to guiding members toward their personal fitness goals. While prior coaching or competitive training experience in CrossFit is an asset, we welcome individuals at various stages in their coaching journey.
Key Qualifications:
Level 1 Certification: L1 or higher CrossFit certification
Foundational Expertise: Solid understanding of fitness equipment, CrossFit methodology, and functional training techniques
Motivation & Interpersonal Skills: Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic about working with people
Coaching Experience: Previous coaching or personal training experience in CrossFit/functional fitness is beneficial—but we’re flexible on the length of experience
Primary Responsibilities:
Instruction & Coaching:
Lead your assigned classes, ensuring every member receives clear and effective coaching
Teach techniques in Olympic Weightlifting, gymnastics movements, and high-intensity interval training
Class Preparation:
Develop or adapt warm-up routines to prepare members for the day’s training
Establish and communicate key coaching points and scaling options for each movement
Safety & Member Engagement:
Monitor and correct members’ form immediately to ensure safety and optimal performance
Assist members in setting and reaching personal fitness goals, acting as a supportive guide
Team & Facility Support:
Attend and actively contribute to coaching meetings and programming discussions
Help maintain cleanliness and organization in training areas and follow opening/closing procedures
Serve as a bridge between members and management by communicating feedback and recommendations
Additional Information:
Flexibility & Growth: While your primary focus will be a consistent early morning session, occasional coverage of additional classes may be required
