Videographer and Editor

Department: Sales and Marketing

Reports to: Founder and Creative Director

Looking for a full-time videographer. As our videographer you will work closely with the Founder/Creative Director + Project Manager to execute projects from conception to completion. You will need to transport, set-up and operate equipment, and handle all post-production/editing. You will also do the bulk of the technical tasks associated with video production and post-production. From managing hard drives to equipment upkeep.

You will have two main essential duties: Documenting and managing vlog/blog internally, as well as creating content for all Black Field Media clients. This is daily production: shooting on a daily basis and editing on a daily basis.There may be periods where you are shooting regularly every week, and there may be long periods where you are spending time editing most of the week. It is almost 75% run-and-gun/handheld production, with 25% larger productions sprinkled throughout. You will be producing content and editing primarily within an office environment and occasionally on-the-go depending on where projects take us.

Essential Duties:

- Edit raw footage to produce final video content.

- Organize and shoot raw footage.

- Transport, set-up and operate various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, etc.

- Organizing digital assets and hard drives

- Maintain production equipment

- Basic and Preferred Qualifications

Education: Degrees are fine, however we only care about finished work. What can you do/create?

Work Experience: Job requires 1 to 3 years of previous related work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Knowledge of all the necessary video cameras and digital programs for effective filming and editing

- Good creative vision which can be communicated with a larger team and with clients.

- High level of organization

- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere/Final Cut, Photoshop, Etc.

- Proven ability to produce projects from beginning to end with minimal guidance

- Shoot and edit creative promotional videos

- Knowledge of audio recording equipment

- Ability to meet very tight deadlines and work under pressure

- Eye for detail

- Very organized

- Reliable, trustworthy and punctual

- Reliable transportation

- Professional presentation

- Ability to troubleshoot issues and find appropriate solutions

- Motion graphics a huge plus

- Drone operation a plus, but not necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: Must have 1-3 years professional experience in videography (Required); photography experience a plus.

Requirement: If you do not provide a portfolio/sample of work, you will not be considered for this position.

Education: Bachelor's (Not Required)
