DESCRIPTION:
Pacific Coast Iron is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Service Technician. A Heavy Equipment Service Technician is responsible for repairs and overhauls of new and used equipment, and/or company owned equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Reads work orders and observes, listens and diagnoses all types of equipment to determine malfunction and then performs necessary work on equipment to fix it
Makes necessary repairs and performs general shop repairs on equipment
Communicates with customers and/or co-workers as needed
Performs Preventative maintenance as needed
Keeps track of service records and report costs associated with equipment
Keeps all equipment up to date with all OSHA safety regulations
General Welding
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of full-time experience as an Equipment Service Technician.
Special Requirements
License Required:
A valid California Driver's License.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to repair equipment located in cramped areas; ability to work in awkward positions; ability to manually lift equipment parts weighing up to 100 pounds; ability to trace electrical wiring by color code and touch; ability to recognize mechanical problems by sight and sound; ability to climb 10 foot ladder to repair large equipment.
