Job Description:
Transportation company in Sacramento is looking to hire a driver for the Sacramento/Placer area. Hours may vary, generally being between 35-40 hrs per week, with some opportunity for OT. If part-time, hours will be between 15-25 per week. Again, hours are not guaranteed.
We are a small, family-owned business, working on expanding in the Sacramento/Placer County areas. We are in our second year of business, and are in search of someone who is reliable, hard-working, and who has the passion and drive to serve our clients as if they were members of the family. REQUIREMENTS:
-Must be 21 or over.
-Must have a valid CA driver's license with a clean driving record.
-Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol test.
-Must be able to pass a physical.
-Must be fluent in English. Note: Bilingual is a plus!
-Must have CPR and First Aid certificate.
-Must be able to work some weekends/holidays.
-Must be available for OT if needed.
-Must be comfortable driving in all weather conditions.
-Must be able to work efficiently/independently without supervision.
-Must be reliable, hard-working, respectful, mature, punctual, cautious, and trustworthy.
-Must be comfortable with a schedule that can change throughout the day (transports can be added or cancelled, sometimes last minute).
-Must have knowledge of HIPAA and must always be HIPAA compliant.
-Must be comfortable dealing with all types of clients/patients, of various ages, and with various needs/disabilities.
-Must have EXCEPTIONAL customer service.
-Must always have a clean, professional appearance, and must always be in uniform while working.
-Must have a reliable mobile phone to use for communication with dispatch/management/clients throughout the day. (Bluetooth headset may be provided for your shifts).
Experience driving a wheelchair van a plus!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
-Driving/transporting ambulatory and wheelchair-bound clients and their family members or caregivers to appointments or other events.
-Driver provides excellent customer service WITH A SMILE.
-Driver uses company vehicles.
-Driver receives on-the-job training for a minimum of one full week.
-Driver must know/learn how to operate a wheelchair with comfort and efficiency.
-Driver is responsible to fill gas tank as needed with company card.
-Driver is responsible for the cleanliness of the company vehicles, both inside and out. There are cleaning supplies located in the vehicles as well as in the office.-Driver is responsible for the cleanliness of the company wheelchairs.
-Driver is responsible for being HIPAA compliant at all times.
-Driver is responsible for the driver's daily company paperwork, filling out own timecard, and ensuring everything is in its appropriate place at end of shift.
-Driver is responsible for turning in/signing in all signed out items at end of shift, such as vehicle, vehicle keys, Bluetooth headset, etc.
-Driver is responsible for communicating with dispatch/management throughout shift.
COMPANY OFFERS:
-$12.00/hr
-Usually 35-40 hrs a week (hrs are not guaranteed)
