The City of Sacramento is recruiting for Equipment Mechanic I and II positions:
Equipment Mechanic I: This position performs semi-skilled and skilled work in the mechanical repair and maintenance of light and heavy gasoline and diesel driven equipment. Minimum experience required is two years of experience in the general maintenance, servicing, and repair of vehicles and equipment and the equivalent to graduation from high school. Successful completion of the equivalent to one year of vocational education in the automotive, truck or heavy equipment service field may substitute for the required work experience. Candidates must possess a valid California Class C Driver License at time of appointment.
Hourly salary: $23.38 - $32.90
Equipment Mechanic II: This position performs semi-skilled and skilled work in the mechanical repair and maintenance of light and heavy gasoline and diesel driven equipment, and requires prior journey-level work experience. Minimum experience required is four years of experience in the general maintenance, servicing, and repair of vehicles and equipment, including two years of experience on heavy gasoline and diesel driven equipment, and the equivalent to graduation from high school. Successful completion of the equivalent to two years of vocational education in the automotive, truck or heavy equipment service field may substitute for the required work experience. Candidates must possess a valid California Class C Driver License at time of appointment and have the ability to obtain a Class A License during the probationary period.
Hourly Salary: $25.59 -$36.00
