Employment Type:Full timeShift:Description:Reporting to the Manager, Core Lab Operations, Lab, Admin, this position is responsible for performing tests through approved department procedures and in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements (CAP, TJC, AABB, CLIA 88, and State of California). The incumbent will determine that test results meet requirements of the quality control program and if not, repeat tests or take appropriate steps to ensure results are approved for reporting. Incumbent will authenticate and report test results following department policy, maintaining all necessary records and documentation.Bachelor's Degree is required.
Completion of a six month Public Health Microbiologist training program leading to certification as a Public Health Microbiologist is required.
Valid Public Health Microbiologist's certificate issued by the California State Department of Health Services is required.
Previous experience is preferred.
