Civil Engineering/Designer Position
Position:
ATC Design Group is seeking qualified applicants to fill a Full Time Civil Engineering/Civil Designer position. Applicant will use AutoCAD Civil3D 2018 for the preparation of Grading Plans, Improvement Plans, and Topographic Surveys. Applicant will perform grading and underground utility design for ground up development for both on-site and off-site improvements. Applicant will also assist in the preparation of ALTA Land Title Surveys, Tentative Maps, Subdivision Maps, and Record of Survey Maps. Additionally, applicant will perform calculations using Civil3D for use by our field surveyors for construction staking and site layout.
Along with the above technical duties, the applicant will conduct research with various agencies to ascertain information on current and proposed projects including, but not limited to: available construction drawings and utility plans, survey data and property records, submittal requirements, design standards, local regulations, etc. Applicant will also be asked to process plan submittals with various agencies for approval.
Experience in the preparation of stormwater reports and basic drainage calculations is desirable.
Qualifications:
Applicant must possess substantial civil design experience and will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to create surface models, design underground utility systems, and complete civil engineering plan sets from inception through completion using Civil3D. Applicant should have the ability to perform surveying drafting and construction staking calculations using Civil3D. Applicant should have experience conducting research with various government agencies and processing plans for approval. Basic knowledge of storm water and drainage is desirable.
Preferred candidate would possess an Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) or Land Surveyor in Training (L.S.I.T.) certification or hold professional licensure. However, this requirement is not mandatory.
