Description
SAIC is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer in San Diego, CA with an active TS/SCI to support a DARPA-led initiative. The ideal candidate will have expertise and extensive experience in technical programs, technical program management, agile software development, and specific experience with software development in a DevOps environment.
Distributed Experimentation Environment (DE2) and Vanguard Force DevOps Environment (VFDE) are designed to leverage Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) experimentation in developing advanced warfighter architectures and CONOPS and link sensors and weapons platforms in times of critical conflict around the globe.
Daily activities may include:
  • Providing technical support to improve Multi-Domain Command and Control (MDC2) capabilities through the development and continuous improvement of the Distributed Experimentation Environment (DE2) and Vanguard Force DevOps Environment (VFDE).
  • Improving DE2/VFDE processing, cybersecurity, hardware and software, exploitation, and Battlespace Management and C2 (BMC2) capabilities across all warfare domains.
  • Providing expert advice to the program manager on technical progress with emphasis on software development
  • Assessing project objectives and propose requirements allocation across the system(s), inform design trades, manage systems engineering documentation, implement configuration management, and review and assess contractor design solutions and recommend alternative solutions
  • Reviewing and assessing deliverables and test/validation/verification activities to ensure requirements are met
  • Identifying software development risks and notify program management, guide software integration and testing
  • Performing technical and technical risk assessment and evaluation of execution against technical baseline
  • Monitoring software algorithm development and provide independent assessments, recommend procedural and system improvements and efficiencies

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of nine (9) years' experience developing software technical requirements, develop software test plans and procedure, oversee software testing, verification, and validation activities with a Bachelor's Degree; Or seven (7) years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven background working in DevOps software development environments with specific experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
    • Software Program Management / Acquisition
    • Agile software development
    • JIRA
    • Docker
    • Container
    • Kubernetes
    • Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD),
    • Cloud - Platform One
  • Ability to interface with all levels of functional/division offices to accomplish projects for the government program office
  • Must be able to work independently

REQUIED SECURITY CLEARANCE:
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
