PCG is looking for a highly qualified Claims Analyst to help human service and non-profit agencies verify eligible spending and participation in various federal programs. You person will work on a mix of projects, each with the goal of helping identify eligible spending that qualifies for federal reimbursement or federal maintenance of effort spending. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including collecting data, reviewing documents, analyzing and verifying data, calculating eligible spending, conducting monitoring and quality assurance reviews, and performing quality checks of your own work and the work of others. Expenditures are for workforce development programs that are federally funded to health and human services agencies, particularly the SNAP Employment and Training program. Other programs may include the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program or programs operated by American Job Centers. You will work in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment, often navigating between multiple programs within the same day. They must be detail-oriented and analytical, with excellent quantitative abilities and organizational skills. They must be able to work independently as well as with a larger team. Specific Responsibilities: Work with non-profit and state agencies to collect documentation needed to verify spending and participant enrollment.

Review documentation to make sure it is complete and accurate.

Use Microsoft Excel and Access to analyze financial and programmatic data and calculate eligible spending.

Developing and executing methodologies for calculating allowable costs, including creating intermediate/advanced formulas and queries in Microsoft Excel and Access.

Assist non-profit and state agencies in completing required forms

Train partner agencies on policies and procedures

Perform quality assurance to make sure that costs are eligible and calculated correctly.

Build and maintain familiarity with federal and state laws, regulations, related to applicable programs

Apply federal and state laws and regulations to ensure compliance across regulations and programs

Communicate and present trends, findings, and recommendations

Maintain positive working relationship with the client, colleagues, and partners.

Foster an attitude of information sharing and open discussion among colleagues.

Preferred Skills and Characteristics

Basic knowledge of cost principles for federal awards

Experience finance or accounting of government agencies and non-profit organizations

Passion for Microsoft Excel and working with numbers

Required Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required

Experience: 1-3 years of relevant work experience in accounting, data analysis, government, human services delivery or other relevant field. Direct experience with human services programs, either through employment or as a participant, is preferred.

Demonstrated commitment and passion for working with underserved populations.

  • Summary Individual assists Government’s NAVWAR 4.1.2 (Command Center and Military Construction (MILCON) C4I Integration) Manager by providing programmatic and administrative support services to develop, updated, and maintain NAVWAR Enterprise policy and processes documentation for the planning and executing of major C4ISR/IT relocation and integration projects. These services will include assisting in monitoring these C4ISR/IT relocation and integration projects for new shore facilities to ensure they are executed on schedule and meet the quality level required by the Fleet and other customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides programmatic, technical, and administrative support to NAVWAR 4.1.2 to oversee and monitor the status of C4ISR/IT relocation and integration projects assigned to NAVWAR for new shore facilities. Participates in a wide array of programmatic meetings and technical interchanges related to the relocation and/or integration of C4ISR/IT systems in DoD facilities and shore sites. Coordinates with NAVWAR customers regarding the installation and integration planning activities as defined in the NAVWAR Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH) for outfitting new shore facilities with C4ISR systems.
