Tracking Code NIWC-20-0857-W Job Code 20-0857 Posting Title Cyber Security Analyst Post Date 6/4/2020 Full Time / Part-Time Full Time Travel Negligible City San Diego State CA Country US Description Cybersecurity Analyst (20-0857-W):Bowhead is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst in San Diego, CA to support NIWC Pacific’s Information Technology Division, to provide professional and technical services related to the areas of network security, cybersecurity and infrastructure support.Plans, coordinates, and implements an organization's computer information security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Reviews violations of computer security proceduresto eliminate violations. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in (STEM) or Information Technology (IT) related field from an accredited college/university AND two (2) years of relevant work experience, OR Associate’s Degree in an Information Technology (IT) related field AND four (4) years ofrelevant work experience, OR High School Diploma or equivalent AND six (6) years of relevant work experience. Commercial certification meeting or exceeding DOD 8570.01M requirements for IAM Level 1 (excluding CompTIA Security +) Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in ALL of the following: a. Cybersecurity Policy enforcement b. Vulnerability Management c. Collect and analyze cybersecurity and network data relating to control systems to identify potential system deficiencies andvulnerabilities to all threats and hazards d. Advising on policies, orders and directives as needed to improve overall cybersecurity best practices.SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.Applicants may be subject to a pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and/or random drug screen, and must follow UIC’s Non-DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requirements.
