Process Development Lab Support Tech, San DiegoGreat entry-level opportunity to gain industry experience in a growing biomanufacturing firm!Maintain laboratory organization across PD, AMD, and QC labs:
Inventory management of lab supplies, consumables, chemicals, reagents.
Receive stock items and replenish to proper stocking areas.
Stock laboratories from common stock area.
Clear all sink areas of glassware, bottles, fittings, etc.
Clean and rinse glassware, bottles, fittings, etc.
Remove all trash, lab debris, and glass containers from lab areas when full.
Organize and collect all lab PPE.
Maintain overall laboratory, cold room, and warehouse cleanliness.
Engage in or lead continuous improvement projects across the labs under the direction of the lab manager.
Prepare items for sterilization (include autoclaving)
Prepare solutions:
Chemical depyrogenation
Sanitization
Assist in buffer and solution formulation using aseptic technique
Test pH and osmolarity for buffers and other solutions as indicated by the process development team
Equipment Maintenance
Clean biosafety cabinets, incubators, and water bath
Refill water pans for specified equipment
Perform pH and osmometer calibrations
Assist Supply Chain in shipping and receiving of materials for the labs.
Assist in ordering of materials and creation of PO’s.
Complete and submit daily laboratory task checklist.
Perform other related duties as requested.
RequirementsAssociates' or Bachelors' degree and 1 year of laboratory experience (academic or industry) or H.S. Diploma with combined relevant experience
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures
