company, employees and investors naturally follow.Job SummaryThe Lean Specialist is

responsible for developing, implementing, and improving standards, metrics, and

best practices related to visual management and workplace organization

throughout Operations, driving and sustaining process improvement, and

contributing to and promoting a safety-first culture to reduce injuries,

improve compliance, and increase employee engagement.Duties & Responsibilities:Drives strong safety culture and provides recommendations for improvingsafety in the workplace. Works withEH&S to develop and improve safety programs.

Provides regular safety training with content provided by EH&S ordeveloped in conjunction with EH&S.

Reviews and ensures compliance with Safety Alert requirement. Sends Safety Alerts to EH&S for finalreview.

Conducts regular training sessions for Operations employees on the HazardSpot program and assists EH&S in developing a RCA process for hazard spots.

Works collaboratively with EHS on safety promotion and educationprograms, visuals, and communications.

Develops standards and metrics for safety walks and inspections withconsult from EH&S for compliance.

Acts as the Operations team’s Lead Safety Champion, assisting withscheduling, meeting minutes, and ensuring Champion coverage in all areas.

Provides training in proper gowning and some PPE usage. Monitorscompliance with PPE requirements through safety walk process.

Manages the procurement and maintenance of safety equipment inventory ofPPE and emergency response equipment

Routinely monitors for unsafe behaviors and coaches personnel on thecorrect behaviors when observed.

Partners with EH&S with standardizing safety incident investigationand safety risk assessments (JHAs) in Operations.

Partners with responsible departments in creation of PFMEA process.

Oversees all Operations departments management of safety data sheets.

Develops and deploys standards related to visual management and 5Sworkplace organization

Leads visual management and 5S improvement events and establishes 5Saudits

Reviews safety metrics, implements and maintains 5S/visual managementmetrics, conducts trend analyses, and develops action plans to reach and exceedgoals.

Engages in continued learning, training, and benchmarking. Introduces new ideas and best practices toimplement.

Qualifications:B.A. orB.S.

Experience2-5years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills

Familiarwith federal, state & local EH&S regulations, safety procedures,equipment, and supplies.

Understanding ofmanufacturing systems (documentation, compliance, inventory control, productionscheduling/controls, etc.).

Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communicationskills, including public speaking and presentation.

Strong organizational skills.Ability to coordinate multiple priorities at the same time while meetingdeadlines.

Strong skills with MS Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, & Excel.

Some formal Leantraining or certification is preferred. Qualifications
