Job Description:Job IdN1976047Job TitleOperations Program ManagerPost Date09/16/2019Company-DivisionQualcomm Technologies, Inc.-Corporate Engineering Services at http://www.qualcomm.com/about/businesses/qcesJob AreaManufacturingLocationCalifornia - San DiegoJob OverviewPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:OPS PMMust have an in-depth knowledge of how an MRP system plans and drives material.Collect and analyze forecast requirements for long term demand.Perform build analysisCreate/provide shortage reportsReviews and revises manufacturing orders as required by design changes, manufacturing problems or priority consideration.Provides timely status and feedback of issues related to products and materials as it relates to supporting customers and operations management.Executes build plans, by releasing material requirements for the entire production cycle of a given product or product line.Must insure that all item attributes on a given Bill of Materials are set up properly so the systems will drive the material as required.Evaluate material impacts of proposed ECOs and make recommendations for material disposition, i.e. use until depleted, scrap, use as alternateCreate deviations for Engineering change requests or unexpected part shortagesProvide an open line of communications between Manufacturing and the Business Unit Product Development teams. Works with program management, procurement, and engineering to develop product schedules and milestones. Communicates customer requirements and provide ongoing materials project status.Coordinates and presents weekly and monthly Materials Operations metrics and build/ship plans to Program Management teamsResponsible for the execution of the build plan and ensuring the on-time delivery of the product to the customer.Manage material supply chain at pre-production stage. Responsible for loading/managing demand from Planning BOMs or preliminary Parts Lists.Manage the transition phase from pre-production to productionSchedule review meetings for new first time builds to include quality, engineering, program management, procurement and manufacturing (2-4 weeks prior to the first build).Schedule pre-build meetings 2-3 days prior to each build to validate build readiness, and to review any last-minute changes or special build requirements.
