The PC Technician Role is a long-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity and will be located in the San Diego, California region.
How you will make an impact
- Disassemble, pack, move and set up/install on site computers, laptops, tablets, printers, hotspots
- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
- Disassemble, box and ship equipment that is out of date
- Image and prepare new computers
- Complete transferal of data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish a variety of computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, monitors, servers and other IT equipment
- Ensure the integrity of electronic data records, acting in accordance with company quality standards
- Assist with functionality testing and end user support
- Track equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases
Requirements
- A CompTIA A+ certification is a requisite for the position
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with Wireless Communication
- General familiarity with inventory controls
- Proven knowledge of Hardware Components
- Laptop, tablet or PC Images experience preferred
- Solid understanding of Laptop Hardware
- Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
- 1 - 3 years of experience with PC and Mac hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN
