A trusted and reputable hospital in sunny Southern California is actively seeking a CHPQ RN Director to oversee its Nursing Quality and Risk Management functions. Serving in an intricate and crucial position, the RN Director of Risk and Quality Management will actively develop, lead, and evaluate multiple complex programs and projects. You’ll work to improve safety and clinical operations for the patients, the staff, and the entire community. In this pursuit, you’ll have many great opportunities to work with community-based stakeholders and researchers to further define the risks levied at the medical center, and develop innovative solutions.
Internally, a key role for the CPHQ Director of Nursing Quality will be to coordinate performance excellence initiatives and analyze risk data for the hospital so it can continue growing sustainably. You’ll provide proof of concept, data to support implemented and executed improvement programs, and you’ll help raise the tide that will lift all boats.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, and working in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, Nursing Unit Directors, Infection Prevention Leadership, and other administrative staff, the Inpatient Director of Quality Management will serve as the acute care medical center’s primary Compliance Officer and Chair of the Committee on Patient Safety.
This means that you will have a crucial part to play in the Physician Peer Review process, you will lead all TJC Accreditation and regulatory surveys, and you will ensure that the most current evidence-based practices are disseminated and followed by the medical team and nursing staff. A strong toolbox of Lean and Six Sigma training, CPHQ certification or knowledge, project management, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation know-how will surely be quite valuable for the incoming RN Director of Quality and Risk Management.
