Sr. Data ArchitectFull Time/Direct Hire/PermCalifornia, San Diego, CA, US 92121 (hybrid role of working onsite and remote days)We seek highly motivated and experienced Data Architect and Engineer to design and manage our data warehouse by bringing data from different systems. To design and develop data streaming platform to fulfill our continuous data access needs and manage databases for our internal developed systems like LIMS and SimPheny. To support Client’s data scientist and advance users by providing simplified data access layer with proper management of Client’s high-value data (crown jewels). To perform advance analytics using Spotfire and other tools using AI / Machine learning and other techniques. Provide support and help improve our lab automation and data collection workflows.Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Design and Create new data structuresWrite and manage data processing modules.Security by design thinking to ensure proper authentication and authorization to data access.Experience in using Agile development methodology.Strong problem-solving skills.Managing data request and access using data streaming services.Generate / Modify Reports, Dashboards and advance analytics using data Analytics tools like Spot Fire, Tableau and SSRS to support our R&D and Business Development Teams.Generate meaningful Insights from our existing data using data Analytics, AI and machine learning techniques based on user requirement.Proficient in SQL/T-SQL, Python, Power BI/Spot Fire/ Tableau, ETL tools like SSIS and Streaming service. Knowledge of Cloud based analytics (preferably Azure) is a plus.Prepare Data layer for user for extracting data from different data sources e.g. SQL Server Views, Streaming platform, Oracle Views, Excel, CSV etc.Help manage Data Catalogs, Data Lake along with converting some of the frequently used flat file structure into database with automation.Implement data curation techniques, support users to store required data in the format which can later be used for data analysis.Support Client-side development team on database tasks.Database Performance tuning (For Views and Queries running slow for users.) and some level of database administration. (table creations, Relations, indexing etc.)Qualifications & ExperienceThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required in order satisfactorily perform in this role.EducationBachelor’s Degree or equivalentExperienceAt least 5 years of data design and management and 2-3 years of Data/ML Engineer experience.Knowledge RequirementsKnowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Understanding of Oracle database.Ability to write code in T-SQL, PL/SQL, Python.
