Responsible for improving and enhancing the quality processes. These processes include internal audits, CAPA, MRB, calibration, training, process metrics, etc. The Senior Process Quality Engineer will focus on ISO program improvements and enhancing documented procedures and work instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Internal Audits – provide assurance that the internal audit program is proactively identifying and correcting non-compliances within products and processes.
  • CAPA – provide assurance that the CAPA system is being used effectively to address and close product and process non-conformances.
  • MRB – provide assurance that the MRB process effectively dispositions and transacts non-conforming material in a timely manner. conformances.
  • Calibration – provide assurance that the calibration program is compliant with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Process Metrics – provide assurance that appropriate metrics for the Internal Audit, CAPA, MRB and Deviation processes are collected, analyzed, reported and trended over time to assure continual improvement.
  • ISO 9001 and AS9100 Programs - provide assurance that the ISO9001 and AS91000 programs remain compliant with requirements. Coordinate internal and external compliance audits and resulting corrective actions.
  • Receiving Inspection - provide assurance that the Receiving Inspection process is compliant with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Training – Provide assurance that training programs are complete, documented and effective.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may provide leadership to Quality Inspectors or other Quality Engineers including carrying out lead responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and laws and the organization’s policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to training employees, planning, assigning, directing work and resolving technically related work problems.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply trigonometry, calculus and statistics for design, analysis and problem solving.

Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems and Quality software.

Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient ISO 9001 and AS9100 knowledge in an electronics assembly and sub-assembly environment.
  • Leadership experience with a quality assurance or operations team in a high-tech industry is desired.
  • Experience with generating, maintaining and presenting quality metrics in PowerPoint and Excel formats.
  • The ability to generate, update, implement and maintain quality assurance process documentation.
  • Experience in planning and conducting process audits.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing Corrective Action and Preventive Action programs. Unipoint experience is preferred.
  • Proven success in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Limited travel may be required.
  • ASQC Certified QE (CQE) or Reliability Engineer (CRE) preferred.
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S environment is preferred.
  • Experience in conducting, implementing and monitoring formal training programs and projects is preferred.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing calibration programs is preferred.
