From building the interfaces that provide our customers with unprecedented transparency into process development, to building solutions in our complex manufacturing network, we execute with velocity and with the rigor necessary in a mission critical and regulated environment.As a Staff Front End Software Engineer on the Product Engineering team you will draw on your experience and the most modern front-end technologies to create our innovative user interfaces. You'll work with product managers, designers, and other engineers as part of a project team critical to the success of the business, and be called on to lead project teams. You have to want to get things right, and to know you got them right. This is a business of hard problems to solve with a lot to learn. You'll need a strong sense of curiosity and growth mindset with a willingness to share and brainstorm new ways to do things. As a technical leader you will mentor other Front End Engineers and raise the bar on Engineering skill.Job ResponsibilitiesDirect responsibility for and ownership of front-end components of the Resilience Digital Platform through all phases of the System Development Life Cycle, including the establishment of relevant practices for ensuring the quality of front-end systems.
Leading the selections of key technologies, frameworks, and third-party products to support building world-class, robust, and reliable front-end systems; clearly communicating and documenting decisions and designs.
Defining and implementing the security posture of front-end systems for safely handling sensitive and regulated information.
Working collaboratively and proactively with other senior members of the organization, ensuring the creation of front-end services that satisfy the needs of all stakeholders.
Working with product and back-end engineers to create reusable design systems to facilitate the building of consistent experiences.
Building out re-usable UI components to allow new interfaces and experiences to be mocked up quickly.
Working with product and visual designers to create reusable design systems to facilitate the building of consistent experiences.
Using data visualization techniques to make complex information understandable and actionable.
Identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues.
Leading other Engineers by your example of excellent Engineering discipline and productivity, serving as a technical mentor for your more junior Engineering colleagues.
Helping coordinate the efforts of Engineers working on front-end systems.
Qualifications12+ years of experience designing and building robust user interfaces
Experience designing multi-stage deployment environments and automated CICD systems
Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Expert knowledge of security concerns of front-end systems; authentication, authorization, and Role Based Access Control
Experience in multiple programming languages/programming paradigms
Enthusiasm for quality, design, and user experience
Knowledge and experience with the latest JavaScript client-side web user interface frameworks
Experience with Blue-Green and Canary deployments for front-ends
Advanced experience with effective data visualization techniques and technologies
Ability to effectively communicate within a team and with project stakeholders
Experience with message oriented/streaming event processing systems and real-time applications and protocols such as web sockets
Strong empathy for users
Detail oriented drive to create world class systems and experiences
