Technical Trainer/Instructional Developer
Job Summary:
Design, develop and deliver training programs to train all levels of personnel. Formulate and adhere to the
project training plan. Team player within an agile software development environment keeping to the
deliverable commitments and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop educational materials such as Student Guides, User’s Guides, e-Learning courses, and Practice
Guides, using tools such as Articulate 360, and Microsoft Office 360
• Design, develop and deliver live instructor-led, online, e-Learning and/or blended training and
documentation based on collaboration with business analysts and subject matter experts
• Develop relationships with client subject matter experts (SMEs) and meet with SMEs on a regular basis
• Plan, design, implement and maintain computer/web-based training modules
• Conduct needs analysis, gap analysis and audience analysis to identify performance gaps; recommend and
integrate appropriate solutions
• Develop, organize, and deliver technical training programs, related materials and/or interactive
courseware for customer and internal training
• Research and translate technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for technical and
non-technical users
• Research, organize, write, edit, and produce original technical documentation such as, but not limited to,
engineering and application specifications
• Timely completion and delivery of project deliverables
• Track and analyze programs by examining learner’s satisfaction levels and knowledge transfer
• Assist with the development and revision of programs, evaluation tools and measurements to determine
effectiveness of curriculum content
Required Skills:
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Proven technical writing and technical training expertise for software development cycles
• Articulate 360: Storyline experience
• Microsoft Technology Stack for Businesses, including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 360
• Experience in and knowledge of SDLC, software development and Agile methodology
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and document them into easily understandable training
and guides
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation in a timely manner
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of six years related experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of four years of experience
• Experience working in a Consulting Services organization
• Experience working with State and/or Local government clients is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a time critical environment
• Must excel in an Agile/iterative development environment
