Beerfish is now hiring a PM Lead Cook
We are a fresh fish and craft beer restaurant in North Park looking to find the next best cook that has a positive attitude, always on time, doesn't mind cleaning, communicates well on the line and just and overall stellar employee. Hours will range between 28-35hrs/week.
It's important for the right candidate to have:
A passion for cooking & creating and a desire to grow
The ability to work well with others and care for other team members
Five plus years working in a restaurant kitchen, experience working on a hot and cold line
Advanced communication skills
A positive, humble and selfless attitude
Verifiable references
Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining a profitable food operation, which includes cutting staff when necessary and you closing the kitchen with a dishwasher.
Assist in developing levels of inventories (pars) to minimize waste and maintain security.
Monitor incoming goods/supplies to ensure the quality and quantity of product.
Ensure proper usage of equipment and direct staff in sanitation and sanitary food handling.
Complete nightly walk-through to ensure organization and cleanliness standards are maintained as well as completing cleaning logs at the end of the night.
Complete prep lists, direct staff on prep as well as setting the line up for success for next day opener.
