Motivated to Work Day Program is looking for a job coach to assist adults with developmental disabilities in the community. One job coach will support 4 members. These individuals are very smart and very high functioning. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of these individuals and treat them with dignity and respect to help them lead meaningful independent lives. We have a great team of staff members and participants who all help and look out for each other. We are looking for someone who is strong, fun, reliable and compassionate who knows how to work and get along with others to join our team.
Program Job Coaches
Duties and Responsibilities
All prospective staff will go through a full background check, follow the guidance of the Director and Managers and report to the Program Managers directly.
-Implement the consumer’s objectives and behavior plans specified in their ISP.
-Assist consumers with their personal care needs (ADLs) as necessary to maintain proper appearance while out in the community.
-Leave areas in the community clean of trash and take personal items.
-Will always present self appropriately and as a role model for consumers at the day program and in the community.
-Will always treat the consumers with respect and professionally.
-The health, safety and constant supervision of consumers is a priority.
-Will attend weekly contact meetings with manager and monthly in-services.
-Follow activities scheduled, keep consumers active and always give them a choice
-Will know and follow emergency plan and procedures.
-Will help consumers out with completing their job tasks.
-Will ensure that their group is getting along with one another and that everyone is working together as a team. Will always have patience and be there for the consumers.
-Will always listen to the wants and needs of each consumer and always treat consumers with dignity and respect.
-Will always thrive to improve the quality of life of the consumers.
-Will have fun and have a good time with the consumers and enjoy each other’s company.
Minimum Qualifications
-All staff must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
-All staff are required to possess valid CPR and First Aid cards, a Valid California driver’s license, fingerprint clearance prior to starting. MTW will pay for all training, first aid and cpr online class, and live scan.
- Transport, Pick up and drop off participants
- Following daily scheduled Activities
- Documenting participants progress
-Responsible for the direct supervision, care and safety of participants while in the community
-Communicating with the team
-Responsible for maintaining structure and order while out in the community.
-Ongoing training (we will provide)
-Assist members in their day to day routines
Initial Selection Criteria
Must be at least 21 years and have a High School diploma/GED.
No Experience working with people who have mental health/intellectual developmental disabilities is needed but preferred.
Must have a valid Driver license. Must have a clean driving record.
Ability to clear Department of Justice (DOJ)/Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint and criminal record clearance.
Ability to obtain or in possession of a current health screening and TB test as a condition of employment ( MTW LLC will pay for the TB screening test)
WILL TRAIN, NO EXPIRENCE NEEDED FOR THIS POSITION (BUT WOULD PREFER EXPERIENCE)

Hours: Part Time Monday-Friday, 8am-2pm
Pay: $16 an hour
No experience needed, we will train.
Training provided (on-the-job and classroom)
