Dentist Per Diem
Neighborhood Healthcare seeks a Dentist to serve as a Dentist for NHCare and promote an environment of quality care, teamwork, and professional patient service. This is a full-time, regular position located in our Pauma location.

Neighborhood Healthcare began as an all-volunteer neighborhood clinic in Escondido and now has 16 health centers located throughout San Diego and Riverside counties. Neighborhood Healthcare has consistently provided high quality care when compared to national standards. Services include medical care for all ages, prenatal care, family planning, dental and behavioral health services, health education, chiropractic care and pharmacy and lab services.
Neighborhood Healthcare provides dental services to children and adults through its three locations in
Escondido, Pauma Valley, and Lakeside. The dental department provides preventive and restorative oral health services, and also emphasizes preventive education.
The dental program was started in 1978 by Dr. John Ruzich, a dentist and Neighborhood Healthcare board member. The dental program was sustained by an all-volunteer staff until 1988. Neighborhood
Healthcare provides dental services to over 9,000 dental patients each year.

Neighborhood Healthcare is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
ROLE OVERVIEW & PURPOSE:
Under the Direction of the Dental Director, the Dentist will practice dental health and impart health education information and techniques to the patient. This position will see pediatric and prenatal patients.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 3 years general dentistry required.
Education:
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in general dentistry
Current licensure in the state of California
DEA license
Current CPR/AED certification
